One of activities delegated to EMS will be performed in the Electric Energy Market Operation Department - organization and development of electric energy market, i.e. it is the first step towards the establishing the electric energy Market Operator in Serbia. At first, the task of the Department will be: market development (definition of electric energy market model in Serbia and preparation of market codes, as well as participation in the implementation of the system for electric energy market control). When the market is opened and with participation of many market players, the main task of the Department will include administrative-accounting tasks relating to electric energy market and services in Serbia.
